Before founding The Popok Firm, Michael served as Global Head of Litigation and Deputy General Counsel at a major Wall Street institution. In that role, he managed litigation and employment matters for a global enterprise with tens of thousands of employees.

He built and led in-house trial teams, directed outside counsel across jurisdictions, and handled matters involving regulators like the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, CFTC, and gaming authorities. He has also served as Managing Partner of law firms and offices, giving him firsthand experience running legal practices from the top down. He wasn't just advising from the sidelines: he was making decisions that shaped outcomes for companies operating at the highest levels of the economy.

That experience means he understands how the other side thinks: how corporations, insurers, and institutions evaluate risk, apply pressure, and defend themselves. And it means he knows how to counter it, helping individuals stand up to significantly more powerful adversaries.
